DRimi, More Than a Dream
Born in Jakarta on 26 February 1988, Mary Drimi Tyastati Padmodimuljo (Drimi) is welcomed like a dream for her parents, who dream about the presence of a daughter after having two sons.
Dream is also the perfect word to describe Drimi's singing talent, which she has possessed since early age. To grow such talent, as well as to help her gain confidence, Drimi joined the late music figure Pranadjaja...'s music school, Bina Vokalia, at a tender age of 8 for around 3 years. Along with the school's choir team, Drimi shared her magical voice all the way to Batam, Singapore, USA, and even in state ceremonies in Indonesia.
In the middle of 2008, with continuous supports from her family and relatives, Drimi decides to step in Indonesian music industry in pop and R&B genre and has come quite a long way. Her collaborations with the country's well known musicians such as Dewiq, DJ Romy, Tyo Nugros, Cas & Wisnu (Brickstar), Bemby Noor, and her songwriter/vocal coach, Joeniar Arief, are a notable achievement. She recently did a vocal work for the breakthrough solo artist, Afgan, for his second album,The One, in the track "Tak Peduli".
As far as stage experiences go, Drimi is no rookie and getting recognized more and more
Drimi's passion for music doesn't stop in singing. She's familiar with classical piano and is learning guitar, as well as operating music softwares and writing a song for her upcoming album. She does and tries it all to be the musician with dream quality the world would refreshingly need to see.
